In response to requests from the field, Speakercraft have taken the technology from our Award Winning Custom Round Series in-ceiling speakers and created a line of square ceiling speakers. Since aesthetics are such a large part of the appeal of flush mounted loudspeakers, the new CSS6 series will offer yet another appearance option. The CSS6 One and CSS6 Three both feature six inch woofers and coaxially mounted tweeters. They are identical to their round counterparts in the CRS series with regards to drivers and sonic performance.

As with the CRS series, the CSS product features their innovative WavePlane™ technology. Not only does the WavePlane™ enhance the speaker's dispersion pattern, it also blocks high-frequency information from wrapping around the tweeter and bouncing off the modulating woofer surface. This dramatically improves the clarity and detail of the speaker.

Not only does WavePlane™ enhance the speaker's dispersion pattern, it also blocks high-frequency information from wrapping around the tweeter and bouncing off the modulating bass driver surface. This dramatically improves the clarity and detail of the speaker and allows CSS speakers to sound far better off axis than any other square speaker on the market.

The CSS series also offers a pivoting tweeter allowing you to focus directional high frequencies toward the listening area. This feature, coupled with adjustable bass and treble controls, allows you to tune the speaker for optimum performance. This is critical in situations where a less than favourable installation location is unavoidable.

Timbre matched with many other Speakercraft products, these speakers can be mixed and matched to obtain a balanced and coherent home theatre system.

The tweeters in all CSS6 models pivot, meaning that you can direct the high frequencies for a precise acoustical fit. The CSS6 Series is your assurance of proper phase, accurate frequency response and enhanced stereo imaging. And when placed as rear channels in a home cinema configuration, they can be directed away from the listener. This gives surround sound the critical degree of diffusion it needs.
